Charity Bake Sale
Posted: 15th October 2021Pupils held a charity non-uniform day and a bake sale for the benefit of Cancer Research UK. The charity was voted for by the Junior Leadership Team as the selected charity of 2021-2022.
In total, the students were able to raise a total of £256.23. The bake sale took place in the main hall and the children enjoyed eating their cakes in the sunshine.
Headteacher, Anna Myatt said: “Roydon Primary Academy is a values led school. Broadly speaking, we place a great deal of emphasis on the values of caring, giving and kindness.
“It is not a case of holding lessons in empathy, or teaching about charity, but ensuring that these principles are embedded in the education that children receive.
“Empowering children with the mindset that ‘we can help, we can make a difference’ is a priority at our school.”
