Parents were able to be a part of their child’s sports day, thanks to modern technology.

With much of education having to go online due to the pandemic, Roydon Primary Academy was able to switch its traditional event to a remote event for parents.

As soon as their children had competed in the egg and spoon, relay, bean bag, multi-activity and sack races, their event was posted safely online for families to enjoy.

Head of school Anna Myatt said: “It has been fantastic to be able to use the Class Dojo app to ensure our families had access to the races as soon as they were finished. This enabled our families to still feel part of sports day.”

The whole school took part in their bubbles, with pupils competing for their house colours.
