Children in Need in Roydon
Posted: 16th November 2018Pudsey Bear was discovered in the most unexpected places across the Roydon countryside.
Pupils at Roydon Primary Academy went on a sponsored “spotacular” walk to raise money for Children in Need.
After warming up to the BBC SuperMovers Pudsey film, pupils followed clues and looked out for Pudsey faces along the way. The bear himself even made an appearance during the day and attended the school’s achievement assembly.
Headteacher Michael Clark said: “Teaching the children the importance of charity is always a priority and Children in Need is an excellent cause.
“The children loved being outside and Pudsey’s visit made it that little bit extra special. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped and made the day possible. The money raised is a fantastic achievement for a wonderful little school.”
The school raised £300 from the day.
