Safeguarding
Roydon Primary Academy has a Local Governing Board (LGB) which is actively involved in all aspects of school life. It is the responsibility of the Local Governing Board to ensure that all members of our school community are safe and have equality of opportunity in line with this policy and our Equality and Diversity Policy.
The Local Governing Board work with school staff to support school improvement and monitor the impact of projects and initiatives.
The Local Governing Boards at Roydon Primary Academy takes seriously its responsibility under section 175 of the Education Act 2002 to safeguard and promote the welfare of children; and to work together with other agencies to ensure adequate arrangements within our Trust to identify, assess, and support those children who are suffering harm.
Roydon Primary Academy's designated safeguarding lead is Laura Spring.

We are also a J9 school. J9 is a domestic abuse inititive across Essex. If you ever need advise ot guidance on this area please come to the school's main office where help can be found.
