History Lesson Includes Cave Decorating
Posted: 17th November 2022Lighting fires and decorating caves gave children an insight into times gone by.
Year 3 pupils visited Lee Valley Park for a Stone Age workshop.
They learned about the changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, taking part in activities including fire-lighting and primitive art.
Teacher Alison Hazell said: “Year 3 enjoyed taking part in practical activities which reinforced their knowledge and understanding of how humans survived in prehistoric Britain. “They created a timeline from the Palaeolithic era until the present day, handled artefacts, drew cave art and learnt how to start a fire!”
