London trip helps with geography
Posted: 17th March 2020A trip to London helped children to understand their school geography topic.
Year 4 pupils from Roydon Primary Academy took a trip to the Sealife Aquarium as part of their studies on oceans.
Pupils had been looking at maps, producing writing and having discussions around conservation.
To put the learning into context, pupils took part in an interactive workshop focusing on coral conservation and had a tour around the new coral exhibit.
Headteacher Michael Clark said: “The children had a fantastic day putting their learning into a real-life context.
“The workshop based on conservation was very thought-provoking and the children could fully get involved due to their prior learning and knowledge.”
