Pupils complete Bikeability course
Posted: 1st November 2019Children on the verge of gaining more independence have learnt how to be safe while out riding their bikes.
Year 6 pupils at Roydon Primary Academy have completed Essex County Council’s Bikeability course.
The two-day course included bike safety checks as well as learning of dangers of the road.
Headteacher Michael Clark said: “The Bikeability course is all about making sure children are aware of the roads and the potential dangers of cycling on the roads.
“It was fantastic to see the children out on the road learning first-hand; a brilliant experience!”
All pupils received a Level 2 Bikeability certificate and badge.
