Duxford Visit
Posted: 2nd February 2018On 2nd February Years 5 and 6 visited Duxford airfield as part of their topics around the World Wars.
They followed a teaching trail around hangers 1 and 4, looking at the exhibits and answering questions that tested their knowledge. In hanger 4, they had a talk from a man called John, who remembered being evacuated in World War 2. They learnt how hard the war was for everyone. He was very knowledgeable and sprightly, especially for a man of 82!
They enjoyed looking at the different planes and even took part in some interactive tests to see if they could be a pilot when they grow up.
A great day that provided a wonderful learning experience for all involved.
