Football Success

Football Success

On Tuesday 11th July we sent a boys and a girls team to the BMAT football competition held at Harlow Town FC. 

The girls played three matches against Freshwaters Academy, where they had a winning aggregate score of 4-0! A fantastic result.

The boys played in a group stage where they beat Cooks Spinney, Little Parndon and Fresh waters’ Year 6 teams without conceding! They lost the last group stage against Fresh waters’ Year 5 team 1-0. However they qualified for the final where they had a rematch against the only team to beat them. The final was a much better performance with Roydon winning 2-0!

Both the boys and girls where fantastic and showed brilliant sportsmanship throughout the afternoon!

A big thank you to Mr Girvan for running football at Roydn this year! Look out for some very special kits next year!
